Temecula Valley's Destination Running Event! It's our 27th year!
Come run or walk this challenging course through Maurice Car'rie Vineyard and enjoy Temecula's scenic wine country and experience the great restaurants, places to stay and things to do in the valley. The course consists of rolling hills on the vineyard's dirt roads and trails. Sections of the course have loose dirt and hills. Be prepared for a challenge!
Please note that the course is not suitable for strollers.
5K & 10K Run - Online Registration $35 for 5K and $40 for 10K per person per race - online registration closes on April 23rd at 11:59 pm or when the race is sold out, whichever comes first. You may also register on Friday or Race Day at the site. Races are professionally timed. There is a special coupon code for members of a running club, or for teen members of high school track teams. Pre-race Packet pickup - Avoid the stress of getting your race items on race morning. Pre-registered runners can pick up their race items on Friday, April 25th at Maurice Car'rie Winery from 5pm to 7pm Friday.
April 26, 2014 - RACE DAY registration - $45 per person per race for both 5K and 10K- Registration will also take place in the Barn at Maurice Car'rie the day of the race at 6:30 am. There will be a limited number of sign-ups during this time if the race is not sold out. T-shirts may be available at late onsite registration, but there is no guarantee for shirts or sizes.
2K Kids Run - (children ages 5 to 12) $10 - Every child will be timed with a timing chip and will receive a commemorative medal. T-shirts are not available for the 2K at this special price, but they may purchase one for the regular price. Parents may also register themselves to run in the 2K with their children if they wish.
Teenage(ages 13-18) Teams of 4 or more special pricing-If a group of teenagers form a team, select a team name and captain, the price per teen will be $25. All teams' names must be turned in together to get special price. Call Jill Schutte for a special coupon code.
Team Challenge - Two or more runners may register as a team in the 5K or 10K events with a team captain and a team name. Run as a family, a business, a club, or other friends in fitness. Each member of the largest team with the most runners pre-registered online will receive a Team Recognition certificate.
Start times: 5K - 7:45 am / 2K Kids Race - 8:15 am / 10K - 8:45 am
Commemorative awards to all age division winners both male and female 1st through 3rd place winners in 5K & 10K
Additional Information - NO REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Event will take place RAIN OR SHINE! It is best to arrive an hour before your race begins if you have not picked up your packet on Friday.
Refreshments - Free water and refreshments are available for all runners, their supporters, and our community volunteers at the Food Court. Water is always available at our Water Stations on the race course.
With the late registration exceptions listed above, all registered adults will receive a quality T-shirt with a unique 2014 Run Through the Vineyard design.

Each year Temecula Sunrise Rotary has a contest among high school artists to design the best art for the upcoming 5K,10K.
Presented by the Temecula Sunrise Rotary Club's Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Think about what you are contributing toward with your 5K-10K participation: Help eradicate the deadly polio virus from the world with the Rotary "PolioPlus" project. Fight starvation with the "Peanut Butter" project. Give a student new hope and job skills to bring back to a home village, or improve the lives of whole communities with clean water or other village service projects.
Closer to home, prepare kids to better handle life's dangers with our "Safety Town" for ages 5 to 8 (see separate page for details.) Encourage reading skills and provide eye examinations and eyeglasses with our Literacy and Eye Health / Vision program for Title One school third-graders, with the help of California Eye Professionals and Texsun Eyewear. Encourage learning and leadership, academics and the arts with our scholarships for academic merit and community service; art, music and speech competitions; and youth leadership training programs; public library book donations; and Teacher of the Month recognition.
